Soft Skills

Soft skills that I consider my strengths are respect, friendliness, self-confidence, self-motivation, teamwork, empathy, selflessness, listening, and questioning. I consider myself to be very respectful as I believe respect is supposed to be given to everyone and something that is needed universally. I am very friendly and wouldn't make someone feel like they couldn't speak to me or couldn't ask for my help. I find myself to be very self-confident and self-motivating because I know what motivates me through good and bad times. I would be considered by my peers as a good team player as I know the importance of teamwork, how to motivate others and how important it is to have everyone happy in their role. I feel empathy is a great soft skill to have and I am very caring about others and passionate about being there for others. I would consider myself selfless because I think about others and would put my stuff aside, to help someone in need or put my agenda aside for the greater good. I have great listening skills as I can listen to instructions or what someone is saying and respond accordingly to the said conversation. I am also able to question well which is an underestimated soft skill and can come in handy when you don't know something, or you just want clarification. My soft skills that I consider my weaknesses or that I need to work on are memory, prioritizing, and multi-tasking. I feel memory is something I need to work on because sometimes you have a lot on your plate and it's easy for anyone to forget something, but I strive to accomplish everything I set out to. Prioritizing is something I consider my weakness because I tend to work and not really think much about what needs to be done first and plan to properly accomplish that. Multi-tasking is also something I need to work on because when you have multiple things to accomplish, you may need to do certain things all at once.

I will use my strengths to further my career goals by motivating others and being a great team player, listening and paying attention to detail, asking questions when need be, being respectful, and keeping my actions as a reflection of my work ethic and communication skills. I will improve upon my weaknesses by putting forth a consistent effort and taking constructive criticism when need be as I know they could in turn be a strength of mine or very key to helping me progress.

Consistency and Hard working - What is my Brand?

For an employer's first impression of me, I want them to take away that I pay attention to detail and I strive to be professional and keen.

My brand is built on hard work and consistency. I thrive at showing this in any opportunity I'm assigned as hard work and consistency is what employers consider an asset to their company.

People who genuinely strive to achieve their daily goals are the most successful at being productive as they work hard to accomplish these goals. Planning is very important, if you don't plan you won't plan to succeed. Everything must start from a planning process. I always try to put forth a plan as I notice this helps me be more successful. A hidden gift I have is I can easily find something to motivate me when I might not be in the highest of spirits or moods.

I take punctuality seriously and strive to always be early, on time, and ready to do my task.

Everyone has weaknesses and I believe for me, what I could work on is prioritizing. I do sometimes, take on too much at once and I'm also quick to drop what I'm doing, to assist someone with their task.

I must improve upon my brand by learning how to manage my time wisely and prioritize my work. When given very important or tedious tasks; I have to learn what needs to be completed first as this will be an asset to the company as not only will the task get completed; but it will be completed on time and thus build positive relationships with customers and build a reputation for being a company that not only builds on production; but quality and timely deliverance.

I always believe in the motto hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard. So if I put forth an effort to be successful, someone who is already successful but not working hard because they are comfortable, can be passed. Not everyone has the fire or hunger in them and that is a great gift to posses.
